NMU Appears in 'US News' Best College Rankings

U.S. News and World Report has put Salisbury University on its list of the Best Colleges for 2018.

This distinction is in addition to the recognition given to two Marist College online degree programs - the Master of Business Administration and the BA/BS in Professional Studies - which both ranked among the top in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Online Education Programs" for 2017. "Inclusion in these publications is indicative that our college continues to excel in our job of preparing our graduates to reach their highest potential", Catawba President Brien Lewis shared.

In the top ten Regional Universities of the West category, Santa Clara University came out at No. 2, Mills College and St Mary's College of California tied at No. 9.

Of the Idaho schools that were ranked in the report, C of I stands out as the best in several key areas, ranking ahead of its in-state peers in the categories of first-year student retention rates, graduation rates, average alumni giving rates, and high upper-percentile ACT-SAT scores.

Trinity was the only Irish university to make the top one hundred, ranked at 81, up from 88th a year ago.

The annual ranking was released Tuesday and has Princeton University in the No. 1 spot, followed directly by Harvard.

U.S. News Best Colleges rankings are billed as a starting point "for families concerned with finding the best academic value for their money".
