As part of Nike's unveiling of its new alternate jerseys for all 30 National Basketball Association franchises, Nike also announced the details of a new program that involves the authentic and Swingman jerseys that it will beginning selling to the public later this month.

According to Nike, the design is inspired by the teams' "desire to make a bold statement the moment they step on the court".

Teams like Boston, Chicago and Cleveland will wear black uniforms with team-specific details to show strength and power. On Friday night, Nike revealed all of them in one big show.

When Nike took over as the NBA's new jersey brand, they made some changes. Like the other two new uniforms, this one has a "5 For The Fight" patch on the top right corner.

To unlock the features, fans will download the NikeConnect app and tap the jersey with their smartphone. Players will also reportedly have the ability to release messages only to those who have bought their jersey, rather than broadcasting something on social media.

At the event, Nike had a representative player from every team come out in a hoodie to hide the new jerseys.

The jerseys will be available online globally on September 29.

This is one of the four different types of alternate uniforms teams will sport next season.
