Kia To Beautify Frankfurt Motor Show With Sleek New Concept

We've been swooning over the Stinger ever since, so we've been eagerly anticipating how Kia would follow it up at the forthcoming Frankfurt Auto Show in September.

While the previous iteration of the cee'd was more of a hatch, the new four-door concept wears a wagon-esque shooting brake body. Although in conceptual stage at the moment, the new Kia is going to be a stunning estate auto. The Korean carmaker also hinted that the concept would preview a potential body style for its large hatchback, which is now on sale in worldwide markets in three- and five-door hatch and estate styles. That said, there's a good chance that it's related to the latter since the official release reads "it indicates what the next-generation Cee'd could look like". Kia says the concept aims to retain the sporty presence of the Pro_Cee'd coupe, but with five doors and an extended trunk providing extra practicality for everyday use.

Except it isn't a shooting brake, according to Kia. Look closer and you will notice the concept auto doesn't seem to have B-pillars and has been fitted with door handles that sit flush with the body.

Kia has revealed the first glimpse of its next-generation Euro hatch in concept form ahead of a full reveal set to take place at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The company hasn't revealed any further details at the time of writing, but says the vehicle is, "reworked and reimagined for a new generation of driver". We certainly won't complain if it paves the way for a future production auto.

The highlight and signature of the design seems to be a silver streak that outlines the Kia's shooting brake body style, running from the bottom of the A-pillar uninterrupted all the way to the base of the rear windshield.
