Janet Jackson breaks down in tears at Houston gig

One user tweeted a clip of the video and wrote: 'I am literally laying in my bed losing it over this concert I can't see'.

Janet Jackson is getting political on her new world tour by highlighting the need to crack down on domestic terrorism across the U.S. The 51-year-old gave birth to her first child, Eissa in January.

On Wednesday, Jackson revealed that despite the stormy weather, she would keep her Houston tour date intact, sharing in a video on Twitter, "I'm here to tell you that we are doing the show in Houston".

Janet took to her official website and social media channels to address the news head-on and announce that the Unbreakable Tour was becoming the State Of The World Tour. / What about the times you hit my face?

Among Jackson's multi-outfit, form-fitting ensemble for the concert were her signature all-black outfits as well as a 90s-esque pair of belted blue jeans paired with a white top.

The singer performed her song "What About" off her 1997 album, The Velvet Rope, containing lyrics about a volatile relationship.

Many fans, if lucky enough to nab a ticket, have had to endure teasing from the singer on her Instagram page as she shared a photo of herself preparing for the tour.

The singer also dedicated the night's performance to those affected by Hurricane Harvey and encouraged fans to support local charities to support relief efforts.

And true to her word, on Friday Janet accompanied Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner for a tour of the city and witnessed first hand the devastation caused by the hurricane.

She then stood and said, "This is me".
