India's GDP slowed down to 4.7% during Congress' rule, claims Amit Shah

Bhubaneswar: Odisha's ruling BJD on Friday hit back at Amit Shah equating him with the "Blue Whale Challenge", a lethal online game, for "spreading hatred" across the nation, hours after the BJP chief termed Naveen Patnaik as a "defunct transformer". "If the transformer could not provide electricity from the grid to people, don't just replace the transformer, uproot and throw it out". "The government has taken legal actions and I have full faith that justice will be done".

Playing down the fall in GDP growth rate in the last quarter to 5.7 per cent, BJP chief Amit Shah today said it was due to "technical reasons", news agency PTI reported.

BJP leader in-charge Meghalaya, Nalin Kohli's had earlier assured that if the BJP is voted to power in Meghalaya next year, it would work hard to find out ways and means to solve the problem (mining issue) within six to eight months. "These figures will clearly tell you that it was the BJP which did development", claimed Shah. "This propaganda is largely spread by our opponent Congress", the BJP president claimed.

"I humbly tender my apology for being unable to speak in Odia language". He said such measures will not only increase the GDP but also improve the living standards of the people.

A grinning Shah said: "As the Prime Minister, he is helping in Gujarat's development by taking decisions at the snap of a finger".

He also accused the Centre of not releasing funds under several schemes running in Odisha. "We around 1.5 lakh youth to participate". Today, it is Rs 1.41 lakh.

The party President said that after coming to power, the BJP government has made many long-term reforms for the country's development.

The BJP Vice President of the state unit alleged that Odisha has received Rs 4 lakh crore from the Modi government during the last three years and yet trying to mislead the people of Odisha by complaining about Central negligence.

"What actually did Naveen Babu do during these 18 long years? he asked and alleged that there has been "unemployment, massive migration, rampant corruption and loot". "Gujarat is among those states in India that witness minimum Dalit atrocities", Shah said.
