How to Watch Ohio State vs

Last meeting: Ohio State beat Oklahoma 45-24 in Norman on September 17, 2016. Formerly a Heisman Trophy finalist, Mayfield will be in the mix as the face of this team's run at a return to the College Football Playoff.

No. 5 Oklahoma at No. 2 Ohio State: Pretenders?

Fourteen different pass receivers caught passes last weekend.

Mayfield, who threw two interceptions, accepted much of the blame.

So, like his quarterback, avenging last season felt sweet. A sight seen all too often last week during the season opener.

The Buckeyes had just 92 yards in the first half.

State quarterback J.T. Barrett looks for some daylight as defensive end Ogbonnia Okoronkwo closes in on the Buckeye signal caller at Ohio Stadium.

Meyer added that both players will definitely feature.

Most of the time, however, those downfield completions weren't even due to poor coverage.

While his wife spent time with her family, Watterson headed to the stadium to get ready for the game.

But for Ward and Arnette (and the rest of the 2017 secondary), they don't have such luxuries. Oklahoma's exuberant celebration came almost a year to the day after the Buckeyes enjoyed a celebration of their own on the field of Memorial Stadium in Norman following their 45-24 victory over the Sooners in 2016.

Oklahoma Sooners tight end/receiver Mark Andrews (81) will be a matchup nightmare for the under-sized Buckeyes secondary. After all, the Sooners use the run game to further open up pass routes and fuel the Air Raid offense.

Mayfield answered with a 36-yard touchdown pass to Dimitri Flowers to tie the game at 10.

Oklahoma is coming off a 56-7 victory over UTEP that featured quarterback Baker Mayfield going 19-for-20 with 329 yards and three touchdowns. Parris Campbell caught six passes for 136 yards and a touchdown as well.

Ultimately, it will all come down to how the Buckeyes utilize their undersized cornerbacks. A repeat performance would give the Sooners a big chance on Saturday night.

Q: Baker Mayfield didn't seem pleased hearing O-H-I-O often at Norman previous year.

It's an impossible situation for the Buckeyes.

The Horseshoe isn't exactly known for being friendly to opposing fans, but it seemed to more than accommodate the droves of OU fans that traveled to the first OU-Ohio State game held in Columbus since 1977.
