Five Former Presidents Team Up To Raise Money For Hurricane Relief

"Hurricane Harvey brought awful destruction, but it also brought out the best in humanity", former President Bill Clinton said in a public service announcement for the One America Appeal. "This special appeal will be expanded to include Hurricane Irma now approaching the mainland United States", according to the campaign's website.

The campaign is launching with a public service announcement called "Our Friends in Texas" that will run during NBC's National Football League game broadcast on Thursday evening.

Jeb Bush (R), an erstwhile presidential contender and one of President Donald Trump's chief campaign adversaries, said the White House's response to Hurricane Irma has been "very good".

"Hurricane Harvey brought bad destruction", said President Clinton.

The buyouts following Hurricane Harvey aimed at helping Houston citizens escape from perennially soggy neighbourhoods and keeping the federal government from paying to rebuild homes time and time again.

The presidents have a history of coming together to help victims of natural disasters. W., a Houston resident, chimed in, "We love you, Texas". In order to help Harvey victims, the ex-U.S. presidents launch an appeal. But his lack of appearance in the video was not a snub from former-presidents. Bush, the former governor of Texas. The storm was a Category 5 when it hit multiple islands in the Caribbean, and it's expected to make landfall in Florida this weekend.

The state's Gov. Greg Abbott has estimated that $180 billion will be needed to recover from the damage Harvey left with heavy winds and torrential rains soaking the area around Houston.

In 2005, Clinton and George H.W. Bush had joined forces to raise money for relief efforts after the Asian tsunami and later Hurricane Katrina that struck the Gulf Coast.

His father, George H.W. Bush, then says, "We love you, Texas". "They all rallied to the flag when we said how about doing this for the people hurt by Harvey".
