'Destiny 2' expansion 'Curse of Osiris' will take players to Mercury

'Destiny 2' expansion 'Curse of Osiris' will take players to Mercury

Destiny 2 may have only just launched on PS4 and Xbox One, but it looks like details for Expansion I have leaked.

"Destiny 2 Expansion I: Curse of Osiris continues your Guardian's journey with all-new story missions and adventures set in a new destination, Mercury", reads the description. As such, that means rebuilding the "ties between the legendary Warlock and his greatest student - Ikora Rey".

If you want to extend your Destiny 2 journey with Curse of Osiris, you can buy it as part of the Destiny 2 Expansion Pass, which is available now for $34.99.

Pittsburgh Steelers star receiver Antonio Brown, who is known for his touchdown celebrations, will show his love for Destiny 2 in a very unique way.

This will be the first time that Destiny players will be able to explore Mercury in story missions and open-world activities. So far, Mercury has only been playable as the setting for the Lighthouse, a social space in the original Destiny, and for four Crucible maps across both games. A listing on the Microsoft Store revealed a title and some gameplay details for Expansion 1: Curse of Osiris and Activision has confirmed to Game Informer that the listing is indeed legitimate. You'll also get the chance to earn new weapons, armor, and additional items within the new area. The Flashpoint activity will move over to Nessus, Xur will make his first appearance with a collection of Exotics for purchase, and a new experience called Trials of the Nine will begin on Friday. "It's real!" and while knowing that we're going to Mercury is an wonderful feeling, we still don't have a release date.

The next DLC does not yet have a name, and it's due for release in the spring.
