Cruz blames staffer for porn video 'like' on Twitter account

Now, he's defending against allegations that he absolutely cranked it to some porn posted on Twitter.

As a fledgling law clerk, Cruz said he once searched for hardcore pornography using the term "cantaloupe" alongside retired Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor - for work, he said.

According to Politico.com, Cruz's team says that it has traced the source of the "like" back to a member on his staff that had access to his social media accounts.

Cruz went on to joke about the situation, remarking that a year ago he should have posted "something like this back during the IN primary". His second excuse was that it was a "staffing issue." "It was not malicious". Ted Cruz, a social conservative, regularly preaches "family values" and once tried to ban Texans from buying sex toys.

Cruz's college roommate Craig Mazin‏ also tweeted: 'Now imagine Ted Cruz is doing this four feet below you in the bottom bunk bed.

Ted Cruz is up to his ears in Hurricane Harvey issues, but an aide found a way of distracting his attention by "liking" a porn video via the senator's Twitter feed.

The second piece of fake news arrived when the ladies pivoted to a story about Fox News host Brian Kilmeade asking Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke about US monuments being taken down.

Sara Haines chimed in saying she didn't think it was a hack, but Cruz himself who clicked the little heart on Twitter.

Cruz's 2016 presidential campaign had to pull a commercial after it was revealed softcore porn actress Amy Lindsay appeared in the spot, CNN reported.
