Beyoncé's Regal Birthday Cake Came Complete with a Crown

And even celebrity fans helped Beyoncé celebrate her big day, with her fellow Destiny's Child band mates Michelle Williams, Kelly Rowland and former first lady Michelle Obama among some of the famous faces who recreated her look from her music video for Formation.

Naturally, Beyonce's eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, her mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, and Jay Z's mother, Gloria Carter, participated in the photo series.

Yesterday, Queen B turned 36 and some of her closest friends and family chose to get into formation as a tribute to honor her.

The singer celebrated her 36th birthday at the Made in America festival in Philadelphia on Sunday, with festivities that included an extravagant birthday cake and a serenade from husband Jay-Z. There were 18 women photographed in total. She wrote, "Join us in supporting the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts #BEYGOODHOUSTON".

The photo-shoot is also meant to encourage fans to donate to relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Harvey, which has devastated Beyonce's hometown of Houston over the past ten days, with the hashtag #BEYGOODHOUSTON. "We have teamed up with Bread of Life, Greater Houston Community Foundation, and Texas Southern University, all of whom have been working with the displaced from the start of Hurricane Harvey's landfall". Beyonce and Michelle have demonstrated their great friendship over the years and have consistently spoke highly of each another. She also sang the national anthem at Barack Obama's 2013 inauguration. A heck of a lot fancier than the Collin The Caterpillar that we'd probably choose.
