You Can Catch Monster Hunter Stories This September

Like all the most recent series entries, Monster Hunter Stories is exclusive to the 3DS. You'll also get to tame and ride monsters, which is new.

The game itself will be released on September 8th, 2017. You will receive a link to create a new password via email. Also, the trailer might not hint at the game's story, but the video shows how the main character meets his (or her) first monster companion, a baby Rathalos already fully capable of flying and breathing fire.

Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) is the expanded version of Monster Hunter X (Cross; which was also localized to the West as Monster Hunter Generations) that adds more new and returning monsters as well as the high-difficulty G-rank quests.

Capcom has shared a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories on the 3DS ahead of its September 8 release. Each player becomes a "Monster Rider" whose job it is to collect eggs and hatch them.

This is an entirely different approach to the original games, which saw players hunting down monsters to craft armor and weapons without any real underlying story behind the missions.
