Usher sued for sexual battery, fraud over herpes claims

Usher sued for sexual battery, fraud over herpes claims

On Monday morning, a woman named Quantasia Sharpton, who claims Usher exposed her to herpes, spoke out against the R&B star at a press conference in NY, held by attorney Lisa Bloom.

One of the plaintiffs, Quantasia Sharpton, told reporters that she had sex with Usher after a concert two years ago, just after her 19th birthday.

After the concert finished, Sharpton was approached by security, who asked her for her number. Bloom also pointed to a 2012 case in which Usher settled with a woman who claimed that she got herpes from him.

"You need to warn your sex they can make their own decisions", she said.

Initially, a report claiming Usher paid $1.1 million to settle a 2012 lawsuit revealed that he was carrying the STD.

The new claims about the singer's health come after two women and a man launched legal action against Usher, claiming they slept with him, but he failed to tell he had tested positive himself for STDs.

Sharpton's lawsuit was filed in California, a state that requires people with disease to inform their partners before engaging in sexual activity.

Watch footage from the press conference below. "Raymond's failure to rebut the numerous reports that he has Herpes has reasonably induced the Plaintiffs to believe that Raymond has the virus and that he exposed them to it".

"No one in America, not even a popular celebrity, is above the law".

After a press conference addressing a recent lawsuit made against Usher, some of the suit's specifics have been released.

"I wouldn't have taken the risk of getting an incurable disease".

"We spoke for a while and then we engaged in sexual contact", she said.

Instead, "Raymond acted with malice, fraud, oppression in intentionally and purposefully concealing his Herpes diagnosis from Plaintiffs in a deliberate effort to have sexual relations with Plaintiffs".

Sharpton received a call from a blocked number after the gig was over, it was from Usher who was enquiring about the hotel she was staying at and her room number. One accuser claims to have contracted the virus, while the other two say they were exposed.

"I was upset by the reports because I never would have consented if I had known".

Amazingly, Usher is yet to confirm or deny he has the virus and his wife is not bothered by the allegations trailing him.
