The Mr Robot Season 3 Trailer Is Creepy As Hell

The Mr Robot Season 3 Trailer Is Creepy As Hell

Not only do we finally have a premiere date for the third season of USA Network's Emmy-winning cyber thriller - Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 10/9c - but we also have a sneak peek at the violent, chaotic season to come.

United States of America has released the first Mr. Robot Season 3 trailer.

Teasers were dropped throughout the day that something was coming as the official "Mr. Robot" Twitter account started sending out messages with the lyrics to the song embedded within.

US released the new trailer after a complicated social media scavenger hunt, involving decoding a series of tweets that led to a hidden URL.

Mr. Robot season 2 ended on a major cliffhanger that saw lead character Elliot (Remi Malek) being shot and left for dead by Tyrell Wellick (Martin Wallstrom), who was revealed to be Mr. Robot's (Christian Slater) accomplice in the plan to carry out stage 2. I'll be honest, I can't quite remember where all the story threads left off in Season 2, and while I really wasn't insane about the arc of that season (and that predictable, drawn-out twist), there's enough to like in Mr. Robot for me to return for Season 3 and I'm particularly pleased that Grace Gummer's standout character is returning. The official character description for Irving says that he is a used auto salesman. As Leonard Cohen's "Democracy" plays, chaos reigns on the streets of New York, Tyrell and Darlene (Carly Chaikin) both appear to be losing it, and Bobby Cannavale's new character makes an appearance flanked by a couple of masked Dark Army footsoliders. Hopefully, creator, writer, and director Sam Esmail can find his way in season 3.0 and the magic of season one.
