The Internet Is Freaking Out Over This Bizarre, Completely White Moose

The video comes from Varmland in western Sweden.

There's majestic, and then there's white-moose-taking-a-dip-in-a-Swedish-river majestic. But many more have a recessive gene that causes mostly white fur interspersed with bits of brown, the Local reported.

A video showing an extremely rare white moose in Sweden has captured the world's interest. Despite their pale appearance, the animals actually aren't albino. No mention of who keeps track of these things, but "white moose counter" seems like a pretty good job description to me.

In the first of the two videos Mr Nilsson posted on Facebook the moose is seen grazing from plants near a Swedish motorway. 'It is a stately moose'.

Wild moose have made multiple headlines this year.

The group of hikers were stranded in the canyon when the moose charged at them.

"I was lucky to be on my own, and we were alone for about 20 minutes", Hans Nilsson told dpa about his encounter with the bull moose. "They [hunters] choose to select for traits that otherwise wouldn't have occurred".
