Niantic postpones Pokémon Go events in Europe

Despite having plenty of time to prepare and having overcome similar hurdles with the game's general release this time previous year, the thousands of players who attended found themselves unable to play the game for long periods of time, with mobile networks flooded and a few bugs creeping into the code on Niantic's side to spoil the fun. It's largely because there's so many more strong counters to Moltres than there were for Articuno.

According to Ninantic, Moltres will be available until August 7th.

Just a second there, Trainer.

Niantic equally hasn't addressed what happens after August 14th, but we would imagine that on August 15th the game will finally introduce the games new black Legendary raid egg.

When it comes to Moltres specifically, Niantic released a wealth of pointers on its own Pokemon GO blog. Stay tuned with us for more information on the fests. "In the weeks ahead, they will be joined by Moltres and Zapdos". While Articuno had a double weakness to Rock-Type attacks, it's powerful Ice-Type moves could knock out Pokemon like Golem or Rhydon in a single move. Starmie, Omastar, Vaporeon, and Feraligatr are recommended as Water-type Pokemon that can be most effective, and you can mix in some Dragon-type Pokemon if needed since they have resistance to Moltres' Fire attacks.

The website covers the whole spectrum of percentages based on whether you use a razz berry, or golden razz berry as well as other key variables such as throwing a curve ball and whether it's a "nice", "great" or "Excellent" throw. Even then, the percentages can be as low as 2 percent. Curveballs also improve your capture chances, but only if you can hit the target with them. For example, Fest-goers were unable to, inter alia, complete timed in-Game challenges to collect special rewards, collect previously unavailable or "rare" Pokemon, and compete against other "Trainers" within the Game.
