Netflix Renew GLOW For A Second Season

Netflix has renewed the ladies wrestling series GLOW for a second season, according to Deadline.

GLOW stars Alison Brie and Marc Maron and is produced by a dream team of off-camera talent.

Set in Los Angeles in the mid-'80s, GLOW follows an ensemble of aspiring actresses and models who unwittingly become the stars of a hot new women's wrestling promotion.

The Season 2 announcement came from the official Netflix Twitter, along with a short teaser clip of a women's lips covered in sparkly lipstick, perhaps a hint of the costume changes coming for the ladies.

Jenji Kohan, who previously delivered Netflix another hit with OITNB, will be its executive producer alongside series creators and showrunners Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch.

Thier original shows and films are becoming extremely popular and one show that seemed to really win the hearts of viewers was GLOW. While many aspects of GLOW live on in some of the more cartoonish aspects of today's wrestling leagues, the league failed to attract a wide audience and only lasted four seasons.

The first run of ten episodes was released via Netflix on June 23, with the streaming giant describing the show as "a Cinderella story with bodyslams".
