Kerala HC lifts lifetime ban imposed by BCCI on Sreesanth

Kerala HC lifts lifetime ban imposed by BCCI on Sreesanth

Previous year a special court in Delhi had acquitted him in the 2013 Indian Premier League spot-fixing case.

PTI reported him as saying that he had started preparing for the game. He also pleaded that his sports career was getting ruined because of the ban.

Let us assume, in a hypothetical case, he crosses all the hurdles, but still, he may not be picked for the Indian side because India team is looking forward to building a team for the future and roping in Sreesanth would only be a step backwards. Then how can the BCCI impose a ban on him? "It is denial of natural justice", the High Court observed while revoking Sreesanth's ban. And he is physically fit enough to hit the ground as soon as possible. "My dream of playing one more World Cup may look an unrealistic goal for some, but I am not ready to give up on that", added Sreesanth. They are the motivation for me. "They should also clear all the money due to him", said Mathew.

Meanwhile the BCCI chose not to react to the court order. "Obviously, their feedback will be taken and placed at an appropriate forum (general body)", Khanna said.

The court said that Sreesanth never attempted to disapprove of the conduct of Jiju Janardhanan, accused of spot fixing, after the scandal broke out. Moreover, the ban could not be continued as the reason for imposing the ban is nullified. It is a new life for me.

God has been extremely kind that I am getting another opportunity to work hard and get back into the Indian team. Now that Kerala High Court has given the verdict, the BCCI may think of appealing to Supreme Court. Hopefully, yes. What I know is that they still have some games left in the Scottish league. "We have always supported him".

KCA president B Vinod Kumar responded that Sreesanth is Kerala's player and everything will be positive in his life.

During the last four years, Sreesanth tried his luck in Politics and movies. The global cricketer after ban involves himself in the politics where he had fought the election from the ticket of BJP and lost that election. Being only the second player from Kerala to represent the country, he has played 27 Tests and 53 One Day Internationals scalping 87 and 75 batsmen respectively.
