Eye Control for Windows 10 already out for testings — Microsoft moving fast

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced at the company's most recent hackathon that an eye-tracking technology called Eye Control will be integrated into the operating system, in order to make PCs more accessible to people unable to use a mouse and keyboard.

Not all cameras work with Windows' Eye Control, however, and Tobii's own Eye Tracker 4C will be the first one to support the new feature.

For setting up the Eye Control on your window 10, users need to purchase a Tobii Eye Tracker 4C, download and update to Tobii's Core eye tracking hot fix release and run with the compatibility of your own profile.

Microsoft plans for Windows 10 to support native eye tracking, primarily geared for people suffering from disabilities or disorders that render them unable to use a computer interface that typically requires a mouse or trackpad and a keyboard.

The latest Insider Preview version of Windows for developers includes the support for a beta version of the Eye Control.

Edge has received a more modern look in the browser frame, inspired by Microsoft's Fluent Design System.

In fact, the Redmond-based company has already rolled out such updates over the past two years the OS has been around, among them the November Update, the Anniversary Update as well as the Creators Update - all of which have been coming in with new features as well as bug fixes and security updates. Alongside the development of Windows Creators Update, Windows console was updated to support the full 24-bit RGB colour.

Now its default colors are getting their first overhaul in more than 20 years, with the hope of improving legibility of darker colors on modern screens.
