Amit Shah invites Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to join NDA

The JD (U) national executive will be chaired by the party chief Nitish Kumar and a decision to join the NDA Government will be formally announced, he said.Tyagi's comments came following Shah's invitation to Kumar to join the ruling alliance.

The development comes a day after the Bihar Chief Minister had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah in the national capital on Friday.

The JD (U) spokesperson alleged that Sharad Yadav won from Madhepura with the BJP's support in 1999.

"We are the real one as we are still with the principles of the JD-U, but they have changed and become BJD-U", he added, in a jibe at the Nitish Kumar faction which has sided with the BJP to form government in Bihar. We founded the party. "He has just been replaced with RCP Singh [as party leader in the Rajya Sabha]".

Sharad Yadav, who is a Rajya Sabha MP, said when he had "not been afraid of Indira Gandhi, what do others matter". "If there is any shame left, Sharad Yadav should resign from Rajya Sabha", said JD (U) leader Ajay Alok. "People are not going to pardon anyone for defying their trust", Sharad said.

Also, he took a dig at Yadav for calling Nitish Kumar's JD-U "sarkari party" saying: "When he (Yadav) was minister in the NDA government, then it was not a sarkari party but a revolutionary party".

The cracks in JD (U) have now become so big that it would be impossible to save the structure. We founded the party. Sharad Yadav said that he remains committed to the Congress-led opposition, which is trying to fight the growing influence of NDA. The JD (U) is also likely to get two berths in the Cabinet reshuffle that is round the corner.

Hitting out at Bitish, Anwar said that people who brought the party to its glory were being "removed" from party posts. "Kumar's decision to align with the BJP is unacceptable", Ansari said.

"Baat cheet mein Shahabuddin ji ne mujhe kuchh kaha hai kya ki gate kholwa dijye hum nikal jaayen, (Did Shahabuddin ask me to open the (jail) gate?)" Lalu added.

"Yesterday (Friday) they suspended me from the parliamentary party".

Can Sharad Yadav split the party.

He said, "As far as Yadav talking to Shahabuddin and Nitish talking to Anant Singh goes, Singh was not an inmate of a jail and was Nitish's MLA".
