Akshay Kumar's 'TEPK' under CBFC scanner, gets 8 verbal cuts

The film has been given the "U/A" certificate and the Censor Board has ordered 8 verbal cuts which are related to the crude language used by the characters.

Akshay Kumar has clarified that his film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha was given only three cuts by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Toilet Ek Prem Katha, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar, is set to hit the screens on August 11. It will release this Friday. They are so dedicated. The video which the Befikre actor posted on Twitter has Bhumi Pednekar walking towards her room talking on the phone, the moment she enters, she hears the flush sound from her toilet. But the actress said she did not mind it.

The kind of films, which are being appreciated today, are heartland stories. "Tagging me as the "village girl" is a compliment for me as 70 per cent of our country's population is rural".

With the lukewarm response to Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's "Jab Harry Met Sejal", the box office could see Akshay Kumar's "Toilet Ek Prem Katha" steal the crown. We all used to follow the same principle of taking less stress and living happily", says Kumar and adds, "I try to be fit and work out regularly. It is a golden time for Indian cinema.

Akshay shared that the Prime Minister was happy about a mainstream film being made on a subject that has so far only featured in documentaries. "Now, people go and watch films, which are entertaining and also respects the credibility and sensibility of the audience", Kher said.
