'Wonder Woman' Woos Hollywood With Remarkable Box Office Legs

As for appearing in the almost-definite "Wonder Woman" sequel, Carter, 65, said it is all up to the director Patty Jenkins.

In a new interview with People, Carter reveals they were trying to work her into the first film but it couldn't work due to the timing.

'Wonder Woman' hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins.

She said: "Am I open to it?" Absolutely. I adore Patty Jenkins, and it'll be wonderful to do. "But we'll just see how that goes", she said. She headlined the popular Wonder Woman TV series in the 1970's and has always been remembered fondly by the public for it.

Lynda's comments come after Patty praised the actress for her support in making the big-screen version.

Carter was actually nearly in the first film.

Carter also spoke about how delighted she was with Jenkins' direction: "She knows who this character is". The Mexican-American beauty has always been very vocal about the Wonder Woman franchise and the positive impact it has had on women. And thankfully, there's hope for her involvement going forward. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny. That means that Wonder Woman will become the eighth most successful comic book adaptation of all time, which is an accomplishment that shouldn't be dismissed.

The film has a current multiple of 3.6 (a multiple is a movie's total income divided by it's opening weekend), and any number between 2.5 and 3 is considered really good.

Wonder Woman has held on better than any other superhero movie during its initial six-week run, dropping an average of less than 35% from one week to the next. "We are half the world, and we want to be represented as half the world".
