Politics Anxiety As Osinbajo Set To Reshuffle Cabinet After Meeting With Buhari

The Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo has warned Nigerians against divisive tendency capable of truncating peace and cause chaos in the country.

The vice president "is now back in Abuja from London" and will be presiding over Wednesday's regular cabinet meeting, the vice president's spokesman said on his official Twitter account.

"I wasn't saying that we don't want him to return, but the claim of the acting President is not true". Very shortly. I think we should really expect him back very shortly.

"He is in a very high spirit; he is recuperating very quickly and we had a very long conversation".

It has been 65 days since President Buhari left the country and since Nigerians last saw him.

"We acknowledge the undeniable fact that the failure of the Presidency to respect the principle of full disclosure and accountability in terms of how much of the public fund is spent paying the medical costs of keeping Mr. President in London has undermined the very essence of government's focal programme of anti-corruption crusade". We spoke for well over an hour and his humour is there and he is doing well.

It will be recalled President Buhari on Tuesday summoned Acting President Osinbajo to a meeting with him in the United Kingdom where he is receiving medical attention.

The meeting between Osinbajo and Buhari was not more than mere pleasantries according to our source who said Buhari shuttles between two hospitals, one outside London and the other one within the city, occasionally returning to "Abuja House" where he recuperates when his treatment is less intense.

Ailing President Muhammadu Buhari has been asked to consider resigning honourably now that the ovation is loud to allow for a fast track of governance to salvage the rudderless ship that Nigeria has become.
