LG hints at 18:9 screen for V30 on August 31 invite

It's been discovered that LG has sent out invites for a press event on August 31 in Berlin, Germany. The LG's V series smartphones are well known for the highly configured hardware perspective, with some unique features like secondary display along with the primary display screen. Another report suggests that the South Korean company can launch the LG V30 with OLED display. 31st is the day before opening of IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) and this will be the first time when LG Electronics is introducing its strategic Smartphone at IFA.

There are rumors that the company is also working on the LG G7, the successor to the LG G6 released this year.

Apart from the release date, LG hasn't given away too many details about V30.

LG said the phone will have an aspect ratio of 18:9, the same as its predecessor, the G6, which was unveiled earlier this year. Still, the V30 will come to symbolize LG's capability to offer a cutting-edge flagship smartphone and we sure can't wait to lay our hands on one. That is understandable considering that the LG's current flagship in the "G" series already sport a similar display. For connectivity, the phone might come with USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm jack for audio. The smartphone is likely to have a glass back which means that it would support wireless charging.

On top of the Snapdragon 835 processor, the LG V30 would have 4GB of RAM. The list includes a fingerprint sensor mounted to the back and a manual camera for added prowess for the mobile enthusiasts. However, it would now have to compete directly with Samsung's Galaxy Note 8, which is now believed to have a launch date of August 23.
