Leeds United new signings: Five potential names

On the whole, Leeds supporters were very happy with the latest deal, but one fan has dubbed Anita as "a liability" as he joins up with Christiansen's revolution.

Leeds have already recruited Mateusz Klich, Felix Wiedwald and Vurnon Anita since the Dane's appointment last month, but the Whites' recruitment drive looks set to continue.

"But for sure in the next few days we will announce a few players".

The Daily Mail understand that the seventh new signing could come in the form of Manchester United youngster Cameron Borthwick-Jackson.

Jose Mourinho was unhappy with the lack of opportunities afforded to Borthwick-Jackson last season at Wolverhampton Wanderers where he made just seven appearances and was even relegated to the club's Under-23 side.

The Whites continue to be linked with a host of other players, including Lugano's 25-year-old Macedonian worldwide winger Ezgjan Alioski - a player who Leeds are keen on.

Leeds United announced on Thursday that they have signed Vurnon Anita on a three-year contract, with the midfielder moving to Elland Road on a free transfer after being released by Newcastle United.

The former Ajax youngster, now 28, is a recognised midfielder but filled in at right-back for Newcastle as the club won the Championship title last season.

Leeds United have not made an approach for Wolves defender Danny Batth, the player's agent has insisted.
