Israeli troops kill 2 Palestinians in West Bank clashes

Thirty-eight Israelis, two USA tourists and a British student have been killed in Palestinian stabbings, shootings and car-rammings.

According to reports, two Palestinians were killed in the Jenin refugee camp during an IDF operation that turned into a clash between locals and the soldiers early Wednesday morning.

The Israeli forces claimed that the soldiers opened fire at "two attackers" after "Palestinian armed persons opened fire at them and threw explosive devices at the forces stationed in the camp".

"The military jeeps were driving in and this martyr was behind them on a motorbike".

The Palestinian health ministry confirmed that two Palestinians were killed and a third was wounded in the leg.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said none of their forces were wounded in the incident.

The report said that these arrests brought the total number of Palestinian prisoners inside Israeli jails to 6,300, including 47 women, ten girls, 300 children, 486 under administrative detention and 11 MPs.

In Jenin area, north of the West Bank, Israeli army reportedly detained four Palestinians from the villages of Burqin and Ta'ennek.

Three of the 21 suspects were picked up on the suspicion that they were members of the Hamas terrorist organization, the army said.

15 more Palestinians were arrested overnight on Tuesday on suspicion of taking part in forms of popular protest such as stone-throwing, the army said.
