Bail refused for actor Dileep - sent to custody till July 25

Lawyers from the prosecution team also told the media that at a time when the police was on the lookout for Dileep's driver, Appunni, who is absconding, giving Dileep bail would jeopardise the case. Dileep was arrested on July 10 and remanded to 14-days of judicial custody.

The commission made this plea in a letter to Tamil Nadu media house and Tamil Nadu Public Relations Director, a press release said. Dileep, charged under various sections of IPC, including the one for hatching criminal conspiracy for abduction and assault of the actress in a moving auto on February 17, is now lodged in a jail in his home town Aluva.

The police is reported to have asked Dileep's manager Appunny to turn up but his phones have been switched off. We have to see if his newest bail petition will get accepted or quashed in the high court as police are completely against it as he could tamper evidence if outside.

All eyes were on the Judicial Magistrate of the Angamaly court last week as actor Dileep's bail plea came up for hearing. Then police arrested Malayalam actor Dileep on a Monday night.

The police have claimed that the conspiracy to abduct and assault the actress and film the dastardly act was hatched by Dileep and Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the case.

Dileep seems to have personal grudges against the actress and hence planned this abduction.

A case of attempted rape was filed after the actress was allegedly abducted and molested.

The actress was molested in a moving auto in Kochi by Suni, on February 17.

Ramkumar contended that police are going ahead with the probe based on the statement of a criminal, "Pulsar" Suni, against Dileep. Available on Android and IOS.
