Woman's Body Found After It Was Locked Inside Walmart Bathroom for Days

Because the family bathroom was locked, store workers assumed it was out of order so they put up an out of order sign on Friday evening. Employees placed an out of order sign on the door that remained there through the weekend.

Employees didn't check the bathroom again until Monday afternoon.

Police in an Oklahoma town are investigating after a woman's body was found in a Walmart family bathroom, and appeared to have been there for several days.

Maintenance employees unlocked the door two days later and found the woman inside.

Investigators are also trying to determine why Caraway, from Muskogee, was in Sand Springs.

Police found nothing suspicious about her death during a preliminary investigation and it's possible Caraway's death was due to health condition. There she entered the store's family bathroom, a private and lockable restroom, Sand Springs Police Captain Todd Enzbrenner said.

Enzbrenner told AP that the body was sent to the state medical examiner to determine the cause of death.

"We are saddened by this". The statement continued to say the company was working closely with local law enforcement to provoiide them with any information that might be useful.

According to Enzbrenner, it could take several weeks for the medical examiner's office to get the results of toxicology tests.
