What Will the New iOS 11 Bring?

While the WatchOS 4 updates are great, the 27 million Apple Music subscribers probably would have appreciated some fun new features in iOS 11 to play around with. Previously, Apple's iPads were limited to running just two apps side by side: one in a primary window and one pulled out next to it. So your app doesn't have to be flawless from the very beginning, you can still release a v2 and clean your ratings. Apple, wants to solve this crisis, and it has tried with its latest iOS update.

The software update will run only on devices with a 64-bit processor, meaning it won't be compatible with the guts of the iPhone 5 or iPhone 5c that feature 32 bit processors.

Apple did not immediately respond to CNBC's request for comment.

Apart from this, a big change that Apple brought was the redesigned App Store in the iOS 11.

Apps that only run in 32-bit will not show up in search results in the new version of the App Store, or be available from the Purchased tab if they have been downloaded previously. This allows you to switch apps quickly while working or performing other tasks.

The new Settings page also provides you with a list of apps installed on your device, sorted by size.

We'll have our hands on iOS 11 soon to verify whether this is true or not so stay tuned.

Apple's new mobile operating system now enables French, Chinese, Italian, English and German translations via the new Siri.

A one-handed keyboard, improved Apple Maps and customisable Control Centre are also included in this blockbuster update. It becomes clear why the iPhone 5S is unaffected and the others are left behind because 5S is among those devices that contain a 64-bit processor.

But that's not the only change coming in iOS 11.

Does iOS 11 sound like the best version yet? I doubt that will happen, though, because Cupertino is continually looking for new ways to help us make the most of our devices. To access your software update page, simply choose Settings General Software Update.
