Super Mario Odyssey coming to Nintendo Switch in October, new trailer released

And it's just as pink and wonderful as any Kirby game should be.

Super Mario Odyssey is a sandbox game that is full of different kingdoms for Mario to explore. It resembles Yoshi's Wooly World with the side-scrolling platform elements and colorful, kindergarten design to the worlds - but with paper mache and cardboard instead of wool. It's out this winter.

After the Super Mario games for the Wii and Wii U, fans were understandably curious to see if Super Mario Odyssey could continue the tradition of innovative new abilities and gameplay. It's not even clear if Retro is making the game. Kirby has always been a solid platformer, and this game looks like a combination of a lot of the best of the series. It's out next year.

In case it wasn't clear already, Odyssey is Nintendo at it's most weird, and that's very much a good thing.

Fire Emblem Warriors was announced back in January this year but not much else was shown off of the game until now.

The game's story is about as cliche as you'd expect from a Mario game - Bowser has kidnapped Princess Peach yet again, and is hoping to force him to marry her.

The first third-party company to unveil accessories for the console at CES 2017, snakebyte return with a second range of high-quality products produced with a strong emphasis on quality, and robust enough to survive the most demanding of trips.

Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime was asked about a new Metroid game prior to the release of the Nintendo Switch, and his response was interesting.

The exclusive content includes Mario and Luigi hats for your cars, new vehicles, and more.

One of the biggest announcements from the Nintendo Spotlight came from the Pokemon Company, who answered the prayers of thousands of fans who've been longing for an original Pokemon RPG on a home console. "Exclusive Battle-Cars and Customization items will also be available, including Mario and Luigi hat toppers to decorate your vehicle, with additional details to be announced later this year".

Yes, that's a T. rex Mario takes over with his hat. We'll just have to see. Previous Mario Amiibo (from games like Smash Bros. and Mario Party) will work in some capacity as well.

Mark your calendars for October 27, 2017. Like we said, we're off to play it now and afterwards talk to the developers.
