Sony fires at Xbox with arsenal of big PS4 games

The E3 is an annual three day conference which is nearly a premiere event where big brands showcase whats new for their company in terms of video games and related products. A whole lot of games, to be exact.

VR content for role-playing adventure Skyrim was shown, as was a new first-person horror title, The Inpatient. Anything that looks at peak graphical output will for sure be represented with PS4 Pro hardware.

And that's just we we know about going in, and it's nearly guaranteed that Sony has a few new surprises up its sleeve. That is, if the totally hard to believe new PlayStation portable rumor is to be believed.

Even though all of Sony's big news is happening this week during the Electronic Entertainment Expo, the company is already planning ahead for its own expo, which will take place later this year.

Sony today confirmed that its PlayStation 4 console has sold through more than 60 million units worldwide.

Ueda was most recently in the spotlight with the release of The Last Guardian, a game that was heralded as a spiritual successor to Shadow of the Colossus. As a result, Minecraft players on Nintendo Switch will be able to play with those on Xbox One or PC. The trailer for God of War introduced us to the story, and how the game centres around the bond between Kratos and his son.

Following their press confrece at E3 yesterday, Sony focused on its triple-A titles and partners, with some VR and indie titles shown during the pre-show stream. Since it hosts its own event in December, the PlayStation Experience, it provides the company with a controlled setting where announcements won't get lost in all the E3 noise.
