Sanders to headline 'Don't Take Our Health Care' tour in WV

But he said the U.S. Senate draft replacement plan for ACA released Thursday is not the way forward for health care in the U.S.

Sanders has called the Senate's health care bill "the most harmful piece of legislation" he's ever seen, and in the past warned that "thousands would die" if it passes.

And we can totally relate with Bernie Sanders' declarations! Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, Rob Portman of OH and Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia - to vote against the Senate bill when it comes to the floor next week.

The event Sunday is free, open to the public, and no tickets are required but organizers encourage people to RSVP here.

The announcement comes after Senate leadership released the legislative language of its version of the American Health Care Act, which turned out to be similar to the House-passed version of the bill, despite some rhetoric pointing to an overhaul.

Sanders refuted Republican reports of the Affordable Care Act "collapsing under its own weight" by claiming that insurance agencies claim that the GOP purposefully sabotaged the ACA by defunding cost-sharing incentives and the individual mandate, among others. He's trying to take health care away from 23 million people, a thing you once said was going to kill people. "And they don't hear much coming out of Washington", she said. "As this process moves forward, I will continue to work to protect Ohio's interests and ensure that our health care system works better for all Ohioans".

"I look forward to examining this new proposal carefully and reviewing the analysis by the Congressional Budget Office when it is available".
