Parade marking Warriors' title rolls in Oakland

As they greeted fans on double-decker buses, there were many smiles upon the Golden State Warriors faces.

Kerr still found time to crack a joke on the stage afterward: "Well, we had very little talent, actually, it was mostly coaching". So I just tried to stay with those principles and keep grinding. While general manager Dennis Lindsey said Utah will benchmark itself against its peers, including the Warriors, through wins, per-100 scoring and defense and other metrics, its gaze remains within its own organization.

And so now, the Warriors celebrate their second title in three years. The weather was great.

Green interacted with the crowd on numerous occasions as the parade meandered through the streets of Oakland, where excited fans serenaded the players.

But they were delivered a pretty tame event.

The Detroit Pistons aren't in the same class as the Warriors and Cavaliers. LeBron not only led the Cavaliers in scoring, he became the first player in National Basketball Association history to average a triple-double in the Finals. He made the shirts before the series was even completed, he said.

Rumors started as soon as the Finals ended about how the Association will look next season, and some of them involve Kevin Love. Whether they like it or not, or whether we like it or not, that has to be respected. "I still feel that way today".

James was familiar with Green's shrewd antics.

"Quickie", Green said while he addressed the crowd.

But Green wasn't done lobbing shots at LeBron. Take Warriors' rookie Patrick McCaw for example.

"We just won a championship, and I can guarantee that wasn't on anybody's mind as we were enjoying this", Finals MVP Kevin Durant said Wednesday. "This is something that we want to continue to do, but for us to have these conversations that we had nearly a year ago and now being in this position, worth every shot we took in practice, fighting through injuries that he had this year, and it's an unbelievable feeling". Three of their All-Stars were plucked from unlikely draft slots.

It's been proven that with James tossed into the mix of any team, the title possibilities for that squad will always be there.

That's why he didn't hesitate to say them.

"They want to talk about 'Superteam this, Superteam that".

"'I've never played on a super team.' You started the super team, bro". Hey, Slim (referring to Durant). "I'm happy for him", Curry said.

True. He's not the best choice to call out the Warriors after joining up with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade in Miami and predicting "not two, not three, not four." championship parades to come. It was mid-season, Thompson was in a slump, so Myers chose to visit him at his Oakland home. "You come into work each day and it is more like fun".

Sheldon Glasgow, who has been living in Oakland for 10 years, said he wasn't angry the Warriors were moving.

"I got another dream". Do you know what that dream is? Lacob told the crowd. "More. More championships for the Golden State Warriors". Sometimes, that's all you need from a role player.

Both Myers and Kerr went down the roster, one-by-one, thanking all their players. Andre Iguodala told USA TODAY Sports' Sam Amick, "Hell nah", on if he wants to take part in it.

They could outrun teams like the Showtime Lakers and outgun them like Michael Jordan's Bulls - and the Golden State Warriors had a more dominant postseason than either.

Last season the Cleveland Cavaliers won the title. The team was off to Las Vegas for the night and, for some, maybe longer.
