Microsoft Defends Xbox One X's $499 Pricepoint

Forza comes out October 3 for Xbox One and Windows 10. Given that the Xbox One launched at $500 while the PS4 was priced at $400, it ended up being a total no-brainer for those on the fence.

Even 1080p games might look better with the console, like what the Xbox One X promises. In fact, those who do not wish to go the console way can even build a decent gaming PC for less than US$500. And unsurprisngly, it seems that producing the most powerful console in the world cost Microsoft a lot of money. 22 exclusive to the console, which can be played throughout the Xbox One range. However, graphics and game choice might be playing a role in how many people actually want the console to begin with.

"It's really targeting the people who already bought an an Xbox One or more likely a PS4, and who are ready to have a second system", Cole said. The devkit is being praised by developers, since it provides a better platform compared to other existing platforms. Sounds weird, but who knows what future holds. Moreover, Sony recently released PlayStation Now-its subscription-based game streaming service-on the PC and Microsoft, on the other hand, has created the Xbox Play Anywhere program. So, what's that move?

Microsoft is touting a launch lineup with breadth - it showed off 42 games at the Xbox One X's launch news conference, 22 of which are exclusive to Microsoft at launch.
