The retired anchorman, 83, dished to Entertainment Tonight about twins Ella and Alexander, whom the Oscar victor, 56, and his wife, Amal Clooney, welcomed on June 6. "She introduced herself to us and we talked".

"[Whenever George would say he doesn't see children in his future, ] I would listen to him patiently and then finally step in and say, 'George, some astounding woman is going to knock your socks off, end of story.' And it's exactly what happened".

He added: "I really think by the time that first (meeting) was over, his and her fates were sealed, both of them".

Hollywood star George and Amal Clooneys twins were delivered in the suite where both Prince George and Princess Charlotte were born, and it seems like they shelled out 120,000 pounds for it. "But by the time we had supper that night, it was clear there was a kindness to her and an inclusiveness". She was so remarkable and he was so remarkable around her...

The couple Wednesday in 2014, and welcomed twins just last week, with their spokesperson, Stan Rosenfield, confirming the news in a hilariously cheeky email to USA Today. The internet and the celebrities have hence been rejoicing over the newborn babies and sending the couple their best wishes.

He said: "I've been telling George since he was 30 that I thought he would be a great parent". But the locals in the community have been very supportive of the celebrity couple, and it is said that they even shoo away photographers or visitors they don't recognize to give Amal and George their privacy. "Amal is doing very well and they are extremely happy and overjoyed".
