Everton sign Henry Onyekuru

KAS Eupen star Onyekuru was the Belgian league's top scorer last season with 22 goals, and made his global debut earlier this month in a friendly win over Togo.

The 20-year-old scored 24 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions last season, and has a better goalscoring record than that of Romelu Lukaku.

His favourite player is former Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, and Onyekuru prefers to wear "Henry" on the back of his jersey in his honour.

Onyekuru made his global debut for the Super Eagles 3 - 0 win over Togo earlier this month in Saint-Leu-la-Forêt, France.

Onyekuru put himself on the radar after a terrific 2016-17 season for Belgian side KAS Eupen.

And he has jumped the gun by confirming his move on his personal instagram account, posting a photo of himself posing with the Everton crest.

Everton have signed Henry Onyekuru from Belgian outfit KAS Eupen after the striker underwent a medical at the Finch Farm on Monday, June 26.

They splashed £25million on Davy Klaassen from Ajax and are on the verge of completing the signing of Sandro Ramirez from Malaga.

"I am delighted because my first target of signing for a Premier League team has materialised".

Onyekeru, who has a £6.8m release clause in his contract, will spend next season on loan at Anderlecht as he does not yet qualify for a United Kingdom work permit.
