BSNL unveils new Chaukka-444 plan offering 4GB data per day

On the other hand, the data allowance with this BSNL recharge is much higher than what rivals are offering, and comes to around Rs. 1.23 per GB, against Jio's Rs. 11 per GB for the Rs. 309 pack, and Rs. 9 per GB for the Rs. 509 pack. Its new Chaukka-444 plan gives users 4GB of data per day for 90 days.This is a special promotional offer only for prepaid users.

Under this scheme, the user can get one gigabyte of 3G mobile data at a cost of less than a rupee, which is lowest in the sector. However, the initiate was taken by Reliance Jio which is now offering unlimited data and voice services through its Dhan Dhana Dhan plans valid for 90 days. The state-run telecom has been true to its words and has once again unveiled a Rs 444 plan to fight Jio plans.

"The consumption of data from the first quarter to the second quarter has increased nearly 60 percent, and in the third quarter, it rose by 3.5 times the consumption of the second quarter", the minister said at BSNL event.

Also, Reliance Jio has announced a new plan for 20 percent extra data for the LYF branded Smartphone users. The validity of the offer is 90 days. Jio launched its services officially on September 2016 and has hit a user base of over 100 million so far. In the Indian market, BSNL's competitors are offering up to 2GB of mobile data per day. Idea, Airtel and Vodafone have lowered their data tariffs as well.

Apart from this, the company has recently launched the new Mela Special offer in which the company is offering prepaid SIM cards (Normal/Micro/Nano) to new & MNP (PORT IN) customers till 30th June 2017.
