Liam Payne Throws A Little Diss At His Former Bandmate Harry Styles

Liam Payne Throws A Little Diss At His Former Bandmate Harry Styles

Unfortunately he had to try to find something nice to say about Harry Styles' solo debut, Sign Of The Times, as well.

"Harry's song I heard, and I'll be honest with you, it's not my sort of music", he admitted in an interview with Music Choice.

He continued: "I think he did a great job of doing what he wanted to do".

Payne added: "I think the amusing thing is he'd say the same thing about me".

From what insiders have gathered, Harry Styles wants to embrace his solo career to the fullest, and going back to singing songs with One Direction would nearly be taking two steps back from all the hard work he's put in to put together his debut album. "Obviously Niall [Horan, 23] had "Slow Hands' out and he had "This Town, ' which is great, and Niall's gone down the singer-songwriter route, which is really cool".

When Liam's new album comes out, we'll hear what Harry has to say about it! With that said, everyone is working on their own projects now and it shouldn't come as a shock for the group to distance themselves from anything related to One Direction. And, we were also shocked when Liam didn't put his two cents in about Zayn's music; seeing as Zayn's solo sound is R&B, similar to that of Liam's new hip hop tone.

Although Styles did elaborate a little more, he neither confirmed nor denied the subject in the song was the "Blank Space" singer.

But he still managed to compliment Harry's new single, praising him for pursuing the style of music he loves.

Liam, who just welcomed his baby boy named Bear with his girlfriend Cheryl Cole in March, talked about his other bandmate's rising solo career, Niall Horan.

When Harry's solo single dropped Directioners nearly combusted.
