5 memorable moments from the GL-MI match that don't fade away

Gujarat Lions will face Mumbai Indians in the match number 35 at Rajkot's Saurashtra Cricket Stadium.

James Faulkner bowled the Super Over for Gujarat Lions in which Kieron Pollard smashed a six and a four in it.

Bumrah started his over with a no-ball and bowled a wide immediately after the resulting free hit but recovered bowling brilliant slow Yorkers to leave the Lions six runs short. But Mumbai replied fittingly with Nitish Rana (53 off 36) and Pollard (39 off 23) batting brilliantly and Rohit Sharma applying the finishing touches to get them over the finish line with 3 balls to spare. Parthiv Patel dominated the Lions bowlers at the start and raced to his half-century in the eighth over; the left-hander carried on to make 70 before he became the second of James Faulkner's victims in the fourteenth over.

The finish: The excitement of the Super Over came after a thrilling end to Mumbai's run chase, when five wickets fell in a chaotic final two overs. But unfortunately, Mumbai lost all the two wickets in the next two balls.

Allrounder Krunal Pandya has recovered from the illness that kept him out of Mumbai's previous game, but his selection will be subject to a fitness test before the match.

According to our predictions, Mumbai Indians will tonight as they are in a strong position right now with a good batting lineup.

Having won the toss and elected to bat first, Gujarat posted 153-9 in their 20 overs.

The Lions ended their innings on a high, with Ankit Soni depositing the final ball of the innings into the stands at midwicket; the Lions had added 53 runs in the final five overs and finished at 153-9. Harbhajan Singh was economical yet again, though he was only successful in picking up one wicket. They will, however, look forward to a much-improved show from Mitchell McClenaghan, who has picked up wickets but more often than not, has leaked runs.

The over had another setback in store for the visitors as Mitchell McClenaghan was run out thanks Irfan Pathan who did well to stop a boundary before coming up with an excellent throw that directly hit the stumps. They are now sitting fifth in the table with six points after eight games. Pandya hit the first ball over the ropes, but Jadeja twice swooped with accurate throws from the infield to set up a Super Over, where Bumrah came to the fore. In the middle order, one can expect Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik and Ishan Kishan to keep it going for the team.
