Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea FC Dominate PFA Best XI of the Season

Spurs, he said, had achieved many things under his charge, namely establishing themselves as title contenders, but the biggest step to take was the one to winning a trophy.

The Swans have been linked with the former England star after he announced he would be leaving Chelsea in the summer, although West Brom are rumoured to be favourites to sign him.

'They are top of the Premier League, with experienced players and the manager they have. We are talking about the team that, in the last five years, have won European competitions, World Cups, and a manager who won the title in Italy. I think it's a more experienced team than us.

"We're in a good moment too, a hungry team", he said. But they look the real deal under Mauricio Pochettino, and just need a piece of silverware to mark their ascent toward the summit of the English game.

City manager Pep Guardiola is looking for something tangible to mark his first season in England, although an FA Cup title will not make up for his team's last-16 exit in the Champions League and failing to mount a Premier League title challenge. They were disappointed after Watford, but we spoke about how we can do better and the last couple of days have been very positive.

"It won't be easy", Conte said, looking ahead to the semifinal, "because Tottenham now is the best team".

"After almost three years, we have not only reduced the gap to the top four, we're fighting to win the Premier League and to win some titles".

Tottenham also beat the Blues 2-0 in their most recent meeting at White Hart Lane in January but Pochettino's young guns are yet to win a trophy under his leadership. You are competing with big sides, big clubs, big players. Our players have won nothing. "But we are improving a lot".

"I feel I still have regular football in me but understand that opportunities here at Chelsea will be limited, it is therefore time for a new challenge", the veteran centre-back added. We have improved, that is the reality. It came in a period when we struggled a little bit and you can see what Monaco have done since.

That's domination! The list includes the six players on the short list for PFA Player of the Year, and the 2014-15 PFA Player of the Year (the Blues Eden Hazard). Now it is the moment to translate those stats and the feeling we have; to show that we've grown up.

"Now to win is more hard", Pochettino added.
