'Star Wars Rebels' Trailer Reveals Season 4 Will Be Its Last

When asked if that lone Jedi is Luke Skywalker, Johnson referred to a line from The Force Awakens, "I mean they say, in The Force Awakens, that he's going to find the last Jedi temple, and Luke is the last Jedi".

The trailer is basically an expanded version of the leaked teaser from earlier in the week. "What do you see?" says a mysterious male voice as the camera focuses on a breathless Rey (Daisy Ridley) on her hands and knees beneath a cliff face.

This first teaser of Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes from director Rian Johnson who has delivered some of the most memorable episodes of popular television serial Breaking Bad.

Some of the secrets shared by The Last Jedi panel members include the introduction of a new character, Finn's faith and The First Order's next evil move against the Rebel Resistant fighters. That makes us want to plunge back into the moving tribute that was paid to Carrie Fisher at the Star Wars Celebration. "But we'll see a lot of her in 'Eight, ' which is great".

All this despite the fact that Kylo Ren, Luke's former apprentice, turned on him. You can use them to get to get around the battlefield faster and to ram enemy soldiers.

The movie poster shows Rey on an intense red background pointing her light saber skyward, the beam dividing images of Skywalker and Kylo Ren.

Ridley said part of the story in The Last Jedi is that it can be hard to "meet your heroes".

Even with the Millennium Falcon in support, the Resistance are in trouble from vast First Order forces. A sweeping shot of a rocky coast showed what looks to be Rey with her lightsaber practicing while a figure, presumably Luke, supervises nearby, as noted by Vox.

It's an interesting switch to the way the Empire and the Rebels have been previously portrayed, and given that the storyline is being created in close collaboration with the Lucasfilm Story Group, all of it will be considered canon within the new Star Wars universe. All of these symbols suggest a strong connection to the history and deeper mysticism of the Force.

Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed the late Carrie Fisher will not be appearing in "Star Wars Episode IX" after her brother Todd Fisher hinted she would.
