Schlupp plays for Crystal Palace exciting draw with Leicester City, Amartey benched

The Foxes host Atletico Madrid in Tuesday's quarter-final second leg, having lost 1-0 in Spain on Wednesday, with Robert Huth banned and Yohan Benalouane their only available centre-back.

Sam Allardyce paid tribute to his Crystal Palace players after they battled back to earn a "precious point" against Leicester on Saturday.

"We need to focus on the game this weekend and make sure we dont get wrapped up in all the talk of us being safe, because we are not".

But Leicester have moved eight points clear of the relegation zone in recent weeks and Shakespeare may well decide to risk resting players in south London today.

After that comical error, Palace looked to pile the pressure on, with Wilfred Zaha and Andros Townsend looking particularly risky down the flanks. If that doesn't fancy your gambling interests, the both teams not to score is also a good bet since I don't think Palace will concede with the defence they have at the moment.

"He's trained yesterday, not all with the squad, but I have said before it will be 50-50 for Atletico Madrid".

A wild effort by Zaha from a good position kept Leicester ahead but Palace got their reward in the 70th minute as Benteke rose above his markers and headed in an Andros Townsend cross from the left.

Crystal Palace Possible XI: Hennessey, Ward, Kelly, Sakho, Schlupp, Cabaye, Milivojevic, Puncheon, Zaha, Benteke, Townsend.

The fact that Palace, infinitely more confident than they were several months ago, fought back to secure a 2-2 draw may well have something to do with Leicester minds being on their Champions League match.

The Belgium striker refused to be denied, climbing on the back of Benalouane - still deputising for the injured Wes Morgan - to power his header past Kasper Schmeichel.

Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce: "A great point for us". It was a tremendous fightback from the players and that would not have happened when I first arrived.

Leicester, meanwhile, came off the back of defeats versus Everton and Atletico Madrid after winning their previous six games under new boss Craig Shakespeare. "Teams can go on a run, as we've proved, so we need to keep that momentum going".

Townsend has been directly involved in seven Premier League goals this season (three goals, four assists); his best return in a top-flight campaign.

Islam Slimani has scored 35 league goals since the start of 2015-16, 16 of which have been from headers (46%).
