Reliance Jio now plans market dominance with over 50% revenue market share

The plan has a FUP of 500MB per day.

Reliance Jio is on path to create more disruptions in the Indian mobile telephony market with the company aiming to corner over 50 per cent revenue marketshare over the next four years and expecting an EBIDTA margin of over 50 per cent along side.

The users will have to subscribe to this plan before March 31 to avail the benefits. Just to note, Airtel is offering this for not the same amount but it could be even Rs. 349 based on the circle. The second largest network company in India, Vodafone. So, if you are a Vodafone user and decide to recharge with this Rs. 346 pack, then you will get 56 GB 4G data (restricted to 1GB/day) valid for 56 days. And the answer is all your queries are the affordable data tariff plans under Jio Prime.

Vodafone and Idea Cellular on the other hand have also come up with new offers to take on Reliance Jio's disruptive plans by offering daily data and unlimited voice calls for prepaid subscribers.

If you cannot find the Jio Prime option at the top of the menu, visit the Play Store and ensure that your MyJio app is updated.

The recharge will also get you unlimited free calls. Vodafone India introduced a Rs 342 plan, which offers users unlimited calls and 28 GB of data per month, capped at 1 GB per day. This must be probably because the operator isn't making the plan available to all of its customers. However, a daily cap of 1GB high-speed 4G data is applicable on the Rs 96 plan, and once exhausted, the speed will cut down to 128Kbps till midnight. At the moment, they are available only to select customers, so it may be prudent to check with your service provider before recharging. So now, Jio is offering free Add-ons to its Prime Membership Subscribers. 500 MB is what you get during the day, and 500 MB is what you get during the night (3 a.m.to 5 a.m., which is what Airtel calls as night). The intense competition in the sector could lead to consolidation in the sector, say analysts. "We think that price competition would remain intense and earnings recovery would hinge on data-led recovery in industry growth", they said. And on the other side, Jio 4G network works only on a 4G phone.

Digital services line-up: Jio showcased an impressive line-up of current digital services (online TV, cinema, music and payments) and a few upcoming ones such as the "connected car".

Jio has offered free voice and data services since it started operations in September, helping the new entrant to net 100 million subscribers in record time.
