Pixel's successor to launch later this year

Pixel's successor to launch later this year

Inasmuch as the release date of the Pixel 2 was all but confirmed by the Google executive, however, Osterloh also gave away yet another piece of information about the device.

Since its October launch, Google's Pixel phone has received rave reviews, and Google recently confirmed to the Android-focused publication Android Pit that it will release a new Pixel this year.

Recollecting previous rumours from 9to5Google, the Pixel 2 is reported to come with an even better camera than the original, with Google "aiming to master low light photography with the next-generation device". At launch, Pixel smartphones were positioned as direct rivals for the Samsung Galaxy S7 or Apple's iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, although they only went on sale in selected countries.

Having said that, Google Pixel and Nexus devices will receive the update directly from the search giant itself with just security patch fixes, whereas OEM's will add their set of features to the OS and will release the update in coming days. If so, tell us what you think is working in the comments in this article. "You can count on a successor this year, even if you don't hear a date from me now". In fact, this will also be available on Google Pixel XL. The Pixel is also an undeniably good phone, particularly in the absence of strong competition, thanks to its quality construction, pure version of Android and special Google features such as the voice-controlled Assistant.

Google is expected to release Pixel 2 smartphone later this year.

Google Pixel was notorious for its premium pricing. On the contrary, the Pixel 2's high price is actually pretty justified, considering the upcoming device's possible specs.

The factory images are limited to the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 Pixel, Pixel XL, and Pixel C devices. It has already been established that the expected smartphone will be unveiled to the world in the latter part of 2017 and will fall in the premium price category. According to Forbes, Google should slim down the huge top and bottom bezels. With that being said, one can also argue that the tipster is simply re-aligning his claim because of the recent statement made by Osterloh regarding the Pixel line.
