New Tanky Orissa to Go Live on March 21st

She'll be ready to roll next week on Tuesday according to the official Twitter account. Expect an update for Overwatch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on the day. Orisa's place in all this isn't known in great detail yet, but the behind the scenes video teases that her being the newest addition to the Overwatch team and still learning the ropes will be important.

Clearly, though, Blizzard are now happy with the character balance to the point they can confidently roll ou the new four legged tank to the rest of the game.

Orisa is a tank hero, and is a robot built by an 11-year-old girl in Nubani.

I might go back and play more Overwatch at some point. Along with her Fusion Driver, that fires like a gatling gun, Orisa is capable of projecting a barrier in front of her.

"Orisa temporarily reduces damage she takes, and can not be affected by action-impairing effects".

Orisa launches a graviton charge which she can detonate, slowing nearby enemies and pulling them towards the explosion. Finally, her Ult is Supercharger where Orisa throws down a device that provides increased damage to allies within range.

Blizzard dropped the news alongside a featurette on the making of the hero, as well as some of the inspirations behind her. That's what sets this apart from all of the other shooter-based games-you can tell there was thought put behind the creation of all of these characters, and indeed Blizzard has been unveiling animated shorts that reveal the various backstories.
