Mike Glennon Could Make $15M Per-Year in NY or Chicago

Yahoo's Charles Robinson cited National Football League sources on Sunday in estimating Glennon's value at $14-15-million per year, and back in December, ESPN's Adam Schefter had suggested Glennon could make $13-15 million per year.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported on "Good Morning Football" on Wednesday morning that the Bears and Glennon will most likely agree to a deal worth $14 million-$15 million per season.

Maybe the Jets' hot pursuit of free agent Mike Glennon wasn't so hot after all.

Tampa Bay selected Glennon in the third round of the 2013 draft.

The 27-year-old is expected to command between $12 million-$15 million per year and is considered one of the top free agent options at quarterback this offseason.

Following that less-than-impressive debut, the Buccaneers signed Josh McCown away from the Bears, making the veteran the starter.

The Bills signed Taylor to a five-year, $90 million contract extension in August, but the team can opt out of the deal by Saturday.

It's a insane situation, but the Bears could end up trading out a $14 million cap hit on Jay Cutler in 2017 for something around $15 million for Glennon.

Glennon, who lost his starting job when Tampa Bay used the first-overall pick on Jameis Winston in 2015, has also been linked to the Bears and Jets, who both are in the market for starting quarterbacks. In 65 career games, Holmes has 102 receptions for 1462 yards and 12 touchdowns, and the Bears look at him as a potential threat in the vertical passing game, as he stands 6-foot-5.
