Arkansas Ready To Challenge North Carolina For Spot In Sweet 16

You obviously don't want to be - your dream is to win them comfortably.

"I think we're a pretty good team, honestly", Barford said. "They're the best rebounding team in the country, very athletic long shot makers", Dusty Hannahs said. "They do want to speed you up and we want to play at that pace ourselves". We had a chance to play for some championships, too.

"But they had some other - the big guys I remember the big guys really dominating the glass as we went up and down the floor". But defensively we've got to keep them off the boards. "We've got to to get much, much better at it".

The North Carolina Tar Heels and Arkansas Razorbacks play a second-round NCAA tournament game on Sunday.

HEALTH AT THE POINT: Berry rolled his right ankle against Texas Southern and Williams said he was "hopeful" that Berry would be ready but he didn't practice Saturday.

For the point guard, the decision to opt out of the play was because he didn't want to push it, but he insists he was able to sprint back on defense if the game had required it.

The game was still tied at 50 as late as the 14-minute mark of the second half before Marcus Paige got hot from the perimeter to help the Tar Heels pull away.

Junior Kel Johnson hit a two-run walk-off home run with two outs in the bottom of the 12th to propel the Yellow Jackets to a 4-2 extra inning win over the No. 9 North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday afternoon at Russ Chandler Stadium. The game wasn't without controversy, though, as Seton Hall was called for a questionable flagrant foul when they tried to foul, down 72-71, with 18.3 seconds left on the clock.

North Carolina senior center Kennedy Meeks said the Tar Heels respect the Razorbacks. The return of this matchup is a symbolic reminder of what once was and what is to come.

Arkansas coach Mike Anderson understands the coming challenge.

Arkansas is 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games overall, and 5-2 ATS in their last seven non-conference games. The Hogs then secured their spot by reaching the SEC Tournament final against Kentucky, where they lost, 82-65.

Joel Berry II was having a rough game on Friday.

"We had a chance to tie or something and they went on a run and ended up winning by double figures".

"And it's wonderful how - they play for championships". This mixture of good health and depth allows Anderson to tinker with his lineups and offer versatile looks.

"It gives you a little more confidence", Jackson said of knowing it should be a fast-tempo game.

It was a mostly dominant half for the Tar Heels, who grabbed 30 of the 43 rebounds to that juncture.

- For the third time in 10 seasons, North Carolina stands between Arkansas and a berth in the Sweet 16.

Paige almost single-handedly kept the Tar Heels in that contest, scoring 13 of the team's 17 points during a five-minute stretch in the second half that pushed the Tar Heels' lead to double-digits.
