A new Chuck Berry album is coming soon

"Johnny B. Goode", not surprisingly, was the most downloaded song with 4,297 sales, a 10,330% increase.

Billie Joe Armstrong and co paid homage to the rock "n" roll pioneer with a live cover of "Johnny B Goode" during their gig in London, Ontario on Sunday (March 19).

Tim Riley, professor of journalism at Emerson College, Boston-based music critic, and author of "Lennon: Man, Myth, Music".

But Chuck Berry's tireless musical spirit never died down.

The statement continued, "For months now plans have been in place, and preparations have been made with our friends at Dualtone Records, to reveal further details and music from the album this week".

"This record is dedicated to my beloved Toddy", Berry said in a statement back in October. Ultimate Classic Rock reports that St. Charles (Mo.) County police responded to a medical emergency around 12:40PM on Saturday, where they found Berry unresponsive. Attempts to resuscitate the 90-year-old legend were unsuccessful. The entire project was written, recorded and produced by Berry himself, and dedicated to his wife of 68 years, Themetta "Toddy" Berry. "From the first minute we heard the great guitar intro to "Sweet Little Sixteen, ' we became fans of the great Chuck Berry", he continued". His passing is a heartbreaker, but more than anything it gives us a great opportunity to celebrate and explore his life and music. He redefined a genre and paved the way for other giants within the industry like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton. "He will be missed but remembered by everyone who ever loved rock "n" roll".
