Will use all legal means to reverse ban: Mike Pence

Vice President Mike Pence believes that any fair-minded person will understand that the sole goal of President Donald Trump's "extreme vetting" executive order is to keep the American people safe.

"The Iranians got a deal from the global community that again, the president and I and our administration think was a awful deal", Pence said.

Pressed by Stephanopoulos about Trump's criticism of the judge, Pence said that the American people were "very accustomed to this president speaking his mind".

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence met with German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel on Thursday and agreed on NATO's central role in ensuring security in Europe and North America, the White House said on Thursday. The executive order also halted refugee admission for 120 days while indefinitely suspending admission from Syrian refugees.

With only 52 seats in the Senate, the majority Republicans will have to convince at least eight Democrats to cross party lines to vote for Gorsuch, who supports the death penalty and other core right-wing positions. His tweets were reminiscent of Trump's attacks previous year on Gonzalo Curiel, a federal district judge in California of Mexican descent who was hearing a fraud case brought against the now-defunct Trump University.

Robart's ruling is contrary to another federal court decision in Boston earlier last Friday that upheld Trump's executive order. "We'll win the case on the merits", he said.

But Trump's plans for a "major investigation" into what he claims were fraudulent votes by as many as 3 million to 5 million illegal immigrants may not get too far without congressional funding.

The Fox News host continued to press him for evidence. "Under statutory law and under the Constitution, that authority belongs to the President of the United States".

"I think it's best to avoid criticizing judges individually", McConnell said on CNN's "State of the Union". "Just take a look at the registration and we're going to do it". "But what you're hearing there is a determination by the president of the United States to not let semantics or the arguments of the past get in the way of exploring the ability to work together with Russian Federation and with President Putin in the days ahead", Pence said.
