Ultra Street Fighter 2 for Switch gets first-person hadoken mode

As reported on the back of the case, the game will have a first-person mode called "Unleash!" Ha DO Ken designed for the new Joy-Con controller. The game was announced for the Nintendo Switch console in January 2017.

According to Nintendo Everything, a screenshot on the box has a timer and seems to show multiple Shadaloo Soldiers. Players grab a Joy-Con in each hand and shoot the fireballs to increase their score. Whether this is an actual mode or just a mini-game is unclear, but it could be more of a shooter than actual fighter.

Apparently, a bunch of box art for the game has also been released, and it can reveal more about the Ultra Street Fighter II for the Nintendo Switch. Fans of the series can view over 250 pages of artwork including character sketches, background art, and more.

At the end of the announcement trailer for Ultra Street Fighter II during Nintendo's livestreamed presentation for the Nintendo Switch, franchise mainstay Ryu was revealed to be launching a hadoken in first-person view.

There is also a logo from Capcom's main game engine on the box, MT Framework.

Ultra Stree Fighter 2 is an upcoming remaster of the classic arcade fighter. Players will use several of Ryu's other popular moves, such as Shoryukens and Tatsumaki Senpukyakus, to fight off enemies belonging to the evil Shadaloo organization. Of course, there's still no word when Ultra Street Fighter II will make it's debut on Nintendo Switch.
