Three More Join Star Trek: Discovery

Three More Join Star Trek: Discovery

Filming for Discovery already is underway, and the production has added three more cast members who will play Starfleet officers in the prequel series.

Terry Serpico, Maulik Pancholy and Sam Vartholomeos have all signed on for the forthcoming CBS All Access drama, it was announced Monday.

Finally, Sam Varthalomeos will reportedly play Ensign Connor, a low-ranking crewmember of the Starship Shenzue.

Star Trek, one of the most iconic and influential global television franchises, returns to television 50 years after it first premiered with STAR TREK: DISCOVERY. All three actors will play Starfleet Officers in the series, which is now filming in Toronto.

Terry Serpico (Army Wives) will play Admiral Anderson, a high-ranking official of Starfleet. Vartholomeos is a junior officer also assigned to Starship Shenzhou.

Fan of 30 Rock and Star Trek and want to somehow bridge your love of the two together? His credits include The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and The Following. Discovery is set before the events of the original series and stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Anthony Rapp, Michelle Yeoh, Doug Jones, and James Frain as Spock's father, Sarek. That episode and all subsequent episodes will be exclusively shown in the USA on the video streaming service CBS All Access. Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts have been hired as co-showrunners.

After yesterday's possible fakeout-were those Klingons or not?-it's nice to have some Star Trek: Discovery news that isn't more speculation.
